Thank you Robyn for the information
Why are the roadworks looking like a patchwork quilt rather than resurface the whole road. Doesn't make sense.
Just wondering why other parts of wiseman ferry road were not fixed? There is literally a speed hump that people avoid by driving on the opposite side of the road.

Just rambling on playing the nice guy. Just address the problem….
People who have been admitted to psychiatric care remain at risk of suicide for many years after discharge and should have ongoing access to care, new research suggests.
It was more than two times higher during the first three months after discharge and more than four times higher among patients admitted with suicidal thoughts or behaviours. Even many years after discharge, people who have been psychiatric inpatients have suicide rates about 30 times higher than the rate of the general community, Professor Large says. This is in NSW
Of course he doesn't address the fact of the workforce shortage of psychiatrists (around 1/3 of staff positions were vacant before the resignations) nor the cost they are willing to pay for locums, VMOs, virtual hubs, putting public patients in private hospitals. And that modelling shows the health department would save money if they could decrease reliance on locums (paid three times as much as the staff psychiatrists)
Interesting. A Liberal govt for 10 years where mental health was ignored too. This is being made to be a Labor issue when it is just a culmination of too many years where mental health was not prioritised or given funds.
Chris is honestly just disregarding public psychiatrists and their patients. There is no effort at all to retain and negotiate in good faith.
The Premier is very good at manipulation of words and data. Facts and calculations show that the government is paying A LOT more $$$ on locum and VMOs (currently sitting at $3050 per day!!!). 25% pay rise for psychiatrists aims at retention of current staff and recruiting more doctors to the public sector. The government will actually be saving by doing this!
But our Premier is way too proud to admit that he has dropped the ball (badly) on this one. One would find it much easier to try to change the opinion of others, rather than change their own! It is simply too hard for him to admit his mistakes.
Public psychiatrist have stayed in the public sector despite there being a lot more lucrative options out there for a long time now, but it has become too risky to practice in an extremely under resourced system which does not allow SAFE and EFFECTIVE care to the most vulnerable members of our society.
Unfortunately, Chris seems to be able to sleep well at night knowing that he is to answer for causing harm to such people. Or perhaps he is delusional himself and needs the help of a psychiatrist???
Robyn Preston MP the question is so timely. Thank you for being so brave. @Chris Minns's answer shows readiness to distort the truth. One hand he cries no money, on the other hand shamelessly waste tax payer's money on unsustainable plots.
Look at the emergency presentations to the mental Heath hospital then see how there are suicides .
We are lucky in nepean blue mountains that there has only been a couple not like western Sydney or other parts of sydney
Great to see you supporting our Hawkesbury Robyn , you and Sarah always doing a great job around our area !

This affects hope4ufoundation revise we get GPs sending referrals to us.
This has been happening for many years it's not just the minns government it was the previous government that didn't care about mental health, I tried to get something happening in the hawkesbury and nothing happened when the previous MP was in.
Thanks so much for your advocacy and support Robyn. You gave us the time to talk and listened since months ago
Thank you for your advocacy
Thank you Robyn. Hope your advocacy pushes the Minns government to settle this problem

As of 3:17pm, the breakdown of Sackville Ferry, between Sackville Road and Sackville Ferry Road, has been resolved.
I have been advised by Birdon that the cause of the unexpected breakdown appeared to be a minor mechanical issue.
The ferry is now OPEN in both directions.
Routine maintenance is scheduled to take place tomorrow, where the ferry, between Sackville Road and Sackville Ferry Road, will be closed in both directions from 12:30pm to 3:00pm.
Diversions (northbound): Sackville Road, West Portland Road, Lower Portland Ferry, River Road, to Sackville Road.
Diversions (southbound): Sackville Ferry Road, River Road, Lower Portland Ferry Road, West Portland Road, to Sackville Road.
Motorists are advised to allow approximately 45 minutes of additional travel time.

At about 2:13pm, Sackville Ferry, between Sackville Road and Sackville Ferry Road, broke down.
The ferry is currently closed in both directions.
Current advice provided by Live Traffic NSW is to use an alternate route, plan your journey and allow extra travel time.
Diversions are currently in place at Sackville Ferry Road, Wisemans Ferry Road, Cattai Road, Eldon Street, Bathurst Street, Pitt Town Road, Windsor Road (Bridge Street), Wilberforce Road, King Road and Sackville Road, in both directions.
It remains unclear how long the ferry will be out of action; however I have been in contact with Birdon, who have assured me that a mechanic is onsite and working to get the ferry back up and running as soon as possible.
I will continue to keep you all updated with an expected timeframe.
